Golden Oriole RC Plane

My "Golden Oriloe" on its maiden flight.
The video quality is not the best, it was filmed 7 yrs ago.

The wing-span is 1820mm & all up weight is around 1.5kg.

I smashed it into a concrete wall at about 40mph, billions of pieces exploded into the air, took a chunk of the concrete out & the 7'cell batteries broke apart………
Took it home in a bin bag ;-)

Ailerons…….. …
Ailerons……..much more fun than a rudder, I think only 2 of my 20 old planes had a rudder, i just started without rudders in ignorance, but was a lucky mistake for me. Ailreons then Rudder =easy, Rudder then Ailreons is the harder way about it i think.

Talking with you …
Talking with you makes me want to go to the field. Haven't been for some time. I have 3 kids now and finding the time isn't as easy as it used to be. When my son is older, I look forward to taking him with me.

I remeber - the …
I remeber - the swallow just like my firebird. Do you have any other planes other than these two. If not, check out the GWS slow stick. Before I fly my Aspire, I always warm up with my pico stick slow flyer it's fun too. My GWS has a foam body, so it looks nice too.

Yeah, Back in the …
Yeah, Back in the day this day was scary as hell, until this madien flight i'd only used a little pusher called the swallow. This plane seemed so big & powerful at the time, Just an expensive toy now….!

That takes guts to fly. I have not even considered Ailerons yet. Your plane looks just like my aspire. My aspire is a surprisingly fast flyer and is very stable.
