I did the same …
I did the same exact thing and was not able to find anything remotely close to a potentiometer screw. I guess that answers our question. We don't have one…we can only utilize the trim buttons on the remote. =(

i've completely …
i've completely dismantled the entire thing and cannot find anything remotely similar to what their speaking of. I also dismantled the remote just to make sure and there was no 'potentiometer' screw anywhere to adjust anything, just screws to remove the rc boards from the helicopter itself

I wish I have, but …
I wish I have, but I haven't found the answer on google or different rc forums. I know when the battery is running low on mine, it has the tendency to rotate counter clockwise. I may take mine apart later in the week to see if it exists on the board itself. I know most 4 channel helis have potentiometer positioned where it can be accessed easily. Maybe ours is on the board covered up by the housing or we don't even have one.

did you ever find out where the potentiometer was? i can't get mine to stinkin' stop rotating even with the fine touch buttons on the remote

the tail rotor is for going backwards and forwards when it hovers it dont rotate

The tail rotors rotate, if you (de)accelerate .
