Its too damn bad that not enough of them flew during the war. Liberated airfields in France? Look up your own history, the spitfires never left English soil. Still flying? sure, they had damn little service and should be in great condition. If the Americans had never saved your sorry asses you'd all be speaking German right now. i see i have toutched a nerve, i hope you realised that the RAF was extreamly under equiped at the time so the americans volanteered to fly those missions. plus it saddens me that dispite the fact the USA and the UK were and still are great allies, people still want to brag about whos millitary is better. i just felt he was being somewhat disrespectful, and that you are aswel.

Fool? The only fool here is you! The Lancaster is, was and will always be a piece of crap! The only thing the British made during the war the Merlin engine. Then they put it in a P51 and let our boys fly over Germany. The Spitfire was so good it never crossed the 21 miles to Europe because it was supposed to protect England. As for the Lancaster it went over to Europe at night, so it wouldn't get in too much trouble. Dropped bombs in corn fields. They left the dying to the Americans.
