You are *dead* …
You are *dead* right. In fact, some control-line speed models used to use single-bladed props (with a counterweight) to get even more efficiency than could be had from a conventional 2-blader.
Fantastic airplane. …
Fantastic airplane. Is it really an Airworld? Looks to me the canopy outline is more accurate on this one than on the Airworld? Wonderful plane anyway!!!
when i was looking …
when i was looking at the real planes i found this plane- and at first i thought - oh shit no not a f ucking model plane. I want to hear some thunder from a giant engine.
It still actually …
It still actually makes a nice sound too.
Same here! …
Same here! Beautifully flown too
damn i want one how …
damn i want one how much are those fw's?
How do you know …
How do you know they go supersonic?
Is there a way to measure it or is it a distinctive noise?
At first, I thought …
At first, I thought it was real, and when I read "5 cylinder" I was bitterly disappointed. Then I saw it was about a 1/2 scale model and I was amazed.
Now you just need …
Now you just need some Commies to shoot down =)
Would you by chance …
Would you by chance post another video with the 3 blade prop?
Most impressive. …
Most impressive. Your plane sounds unreal! I like the markings of "Pips" Priller's aircraft too. You did a great job. Thanks for the posting.
just a beautiful …
just a beautiful plane, just beautiful
Beautiful sound! …
Beautiful sound! Where can you get the kit, and the engine?
As the owner of the …
As the owner of the FW 190 i can cofirm that the video was the second flight only. I have since used a 3 blade prop which makes the engine sound even better in flight and the tips of the prop go supersonic. awsome.
Just need a B17 up …
Just need a B17 up there with it now
Multiple fans do …
Multiple fans do disrupt the flow to the subsequent blades significantly. There is always a trade-off. The entire prop is in turbulence.
The speed (axial and perpendicular) affects this well. Prop design is very complex. I worked with a team of prop designers at NASA Ames on multi-bladed swept designs.
And, I am in far better shape than you, have a MS in Aeronautics from the Univ. of Washington, and don't wear baseball hats.
I do wear shorts to show off my calves though.
I want to get this …
I want to get this plane. anybody have any idea from where?
Very good sound!!!!
Very good sound!!!!
"three bladed props …
"three bladed props aren't as efficient as two-bladed props. this is because the blades are more likely to cut through the turbulence of the other blades…."
This is the sort of drivel usually dispensed by fat idiots in shorts and a baseball-cap. Clearly, none of the modern airscrew manufacturers have a clue what they are doing. Not.
three bladed props …
three bladed props aren't as efficient as two-bladed props. this is because the blades are more likely to cut through the turbulence of the other blades…. I'm sure the pilot mounts a three bladed prop when the model is on static display
so are you…
so are you…

nice 5cylindrical sound
BEAUTIFUL, Great …
BEAUTIFUL, Great sound coming out of that engine. Thank's for posting.
