What is the best "case-material" for a hand-made model airplane?

I have a project where i have to build a 3D model airplane, with my own two hands. I know it's going to be extremely hard, I am going to paint it and use small parts. After I finish, my teacher is going to display it in a museum, we're creating. I want to lock it up in a case, so it won't be touched. I don't want my hard work broken. I just want to know: what material should i use to encolse it?

Depending on the size of the wing span you can buy ready made display cases of thin clear plastic. Most can be bought or ordered at any good hobby shop. If the wings are to large for a premade case, you will need to have some help constructing a custom one. That can get expensive fast. You can buy sheet plastic at any home improvement store.
