I just recently bought a nitro buggy rc. It brought a vx-18 engine. were could i find parts for these engines. also what can you do to loosen the piston sleeve.
On Protech's website there is a list a dealers that can supply you with parts.

There is also this site (not in english)

For the sleeve, sometimes you can just turn the crankshaft a few items and it will move out slightly. Then you can just pull it out. If the lip of the sleeve is not sunk into the block. You can often get a small flathead screwdriver under it, and move the sleeve out. If the lip is sunk into the block, and it wont move out by turning the crankshaft, you will need to put a ziptie in the exhaust port, and turn the crankshaft. It will be pushed out slightly after this. Remove the ziptie and see if you can pull it out by hand.
Good luck and happy bashing

I just bought a new RC buggy and for some reason it won't run forward but it will run backwards. It steers great and the batteries are brand new please help me figure out what could be going wrong.
i don't know why this is the case, but if you aren't afraid to take it apart you can sort it out easily; just find the motor, and turn it upside down!!!

I have an older maybe 70's model of a 2 stroke engine for a model airplane. I hooked up the gas tank but i need to know what type of gas to use thanx
It depends on the engine. If it's a "glow plug" engine, as most were in the 1970's, you need to use glow fuel, a mixture of methanol, nitromethane, and oil… you purchase it at a hobby shop. If it's a spark ignition engine, then you use a gasoline/oil mixture like a chain saw or weed eater. Your best bet is to contact a local R/C club or hobby shop and ask them what to use.

What kind of fuel should i use for everyday use
like wat kind of percentage of nitro methane or watever
ok i have a .18 engine engine, so the lowest can be 10%, what should be the highest?
It depends on if you are running a small block or big block.
Small blocks are up to a .18
Big blocks are .21 and beyond.
For everyday bashing with a small block you can use as low as 10% nitro. Big blocks, I would not go below 20% on.
I usually run 20% nitro in my small blocks for bashing. I have ran numerous brands from Traxxas, O'Donnell, Trinity, Blue Thunder, Byron Race Fuel ect and from 10% to 33%. I like to run 30% Byron Race Fuel in my truck when I race outlaw class.
Just buy a quart of 10% and run it, then step up to 20% nitro and re tune the engine and see what a difference 10% nitro makes. Some might say that switching nitro % from 10 to 20 or ever 10 to 30 will damage your engine. I have a RC10GT with a O.S. 15-CV that I bash with and I change the nitro % all the time in it. I have over 8 gallons of fuel ran through it and I've never had a problem with the engine. No rebuild, no signs of letting go. So changing nitro % is not a problem, if you do just reset the needles to factory settings and tune for performance.
edit.
The highest is what ever you feel like running. You can run 10% on through 33%. Good luck and happy bashing

i need to know if Aluminum absorbs radio waves (just the type that control an RC jet)
Aluminum is a good conductor of electricity. If an object is completely encased in a conductor (forming a Faraday cage), the object will be shielded from radio waves.
If the aluminum (or another conductor) covers only part of the object, radio waves may still reach it.
