How to break in a Nitro RC engine Part 4
This vid is on how to troubleshoot (TS) your nitro engine Kit. From how to handle flooded engines and other menacing issues such as engine shutting off after braking and more!
This is a ten video rc nitro break in series. The series is designed on how to guide the novice to experienced racing pro or basher on how to break in a nitro rc properly. I will teach the traxxas, new school, and my own method which is a combination of the other two. I will show the user how to prime a nitro rc engine, start the engine using a bump start box, ex starter, roto start, pull start and tiger drive devices. Then, after break in, I will go over nitro engine tuning theory and then show the tuning actally done. I finally got it started, but it doesnt move. The engine is now fine, but everything is on, and i cant control it, it idles, but nothing, whats wrong?
You are either …
You are either running really lean or you need to adjust the carb slide gap via the idel screw. The bigger the gap the faster the idle (throttle) or your needles are so lean that it takes longer, will go really faster, and typically shut off. Not being there, those are my two suspects.

Fuel bottles are $5 or so and they are designed to keep the air out to preserve the sensitive fuel. I would buy a fuel bottle.

The lower end kits …
The lower end kits have horrible quality control and tend to die early with minimal part support.
Please dont think that all of the hobby is like this. Get a good Ofna, Losi, etc and you will be glad that you toss the stormer away!

i got a hsp stormer and it starts good but when its warm it runs like i've had it servised like 7 times but i just think is't just a piece shut
The 5th tank should …
The 5th tank should be for 3 seconds.
Break ins are not always for "5 tanks". Some you will notice power increases all the way up to 1 gallon. Yours may be this way.
If you are shifting too soon then you will want to adjust your two speed. There is a set screw in the differential that can be adjusted to come on at higher RPMs or lower RPMs. Refer to your manual for that adjustment.

Good point! If you are having alot of trouble moving the piston then this would be something to try. The hot air gun tends to work well for me on tight pinched sleeves but I could see how extra oil with the heat would do wonders.

forgot to mention that u can use after run oil so that its easier to turn if its too hard to turn over.
