Pulse XT Acrobatics
Hangar 9 Pulse XT powered by a OS 70 S II 4-stroke. Video provides a feel for how fast and agile this plane is. Apologize for raspy sound. Wind and a loud engine at full-tilt overloaded the microphone on the mini cam.

really a 60 size i didnt know that thanks
You were smart. I …
You were smart. I learned the diluted epoxy trick AFTER the Pulse's firewall was already pretty fuel soaked. Definitely shortened it's life. Glad yours is working well. I miss mine. It was a good flyer both fast and slow. There's a new 60-sized Pulse out there. Might have to take a look at that.
I see, ya i already …
I see, ya i already took care of the firewall i knew the oil would get to it so i added plywood to it and went to town on the model with epoxy and silicon sealing up all the holes for the electric option. I also really put the epoxy to the gear. the plane is on the heavier side now but it is nice and solid. Still flies great!!
Running a high …
Running a high pitch 13×8 prop. Lots of torque and a firewall area that had seen a couple of repairs. Perfect storm. Firewall broke loose and the engine/firewall hanging only by the throttle linkage and fuel line, took a big gouge out of the wing before hitting the landing gear and turning into a four inch prop. Advise on this plane to add gussets to the back of the firewall when new to reinforce it. Epoxy and light ply triangles. Great plane but that part is weak. Especially with a four-stroke.
What was the reason …
What was the reason for coming apart? Something i should watch out for?
I always backed off …
I always backed off before it went out of sight. Probably not unlimited but with a 13/7 prop, climb was impressive. Plane unfortunately came apart in mid air a couple of months ago. Engine now resides in a Kyosho Kelly F1. That's a fast plane.
do you have …
do you have unlimited vertical?
Wow it's really …
and i like it
Wow it's really fast
