RC engine Brodak .049 modified and dieselized
This is the better throttling version with just the addition of a custom made diesel head. Prop is a Cox 8 X 4. No tach numbers because of the overcast. Will update with tach readings as time permits but a note from a previous run shows 3.5K to 9.5K.

It's a two stroke …
It's a two stroke so oil is very necessary in the fuel mix. If you browse through my other, some 80 videos, you'll see that I have experimented with no ether fuels. That is, just kerosene (diesel) and oil. Ether appears to be a necessity to allow for good throttling.

That's the carb that comes with the engine. The improvement made to it is the addition of an adjustable airbleed.

This one DOES smoke a bit but the poor quality of the download is masking that effect.

It IS still a two stroke but it's a DIESEL. There's no glow plug. The fuel is 40% ether, 40% kerosene and 20% oil along with a dab (2%) Amsoil cetane booster.

It's still a two stroke running on methanol or nitro methane right? If so, umm not to be a nay sayer… Why isn't it smoking at all? Shouldn't there be at least a hint of bluish smoke? Planes scare me, that prop looks like it could take a finger off(maybe a hand). I'll stick to cars and trucks. lol.
