YT International Sea Fury
YT International Sea Fury with an OS FS-120SIII four-stroke engine with a 15×8 prop. Length:1570mm(63"), Wingspan:1800mm(71"), Wing Area:76.8 sq.dm, Weight:4.8kg(169.5oz).
Original history : Intended originally as a smaller lighter version of the Hawker Tempest. The first maiden flight was on 1 September 1944 for the RAF. Later scrapped by the RAF at the end of the war but continued development by the Admiralty and the first maiden flight as the Sea Fury was on 21 February 1945 powered by a Bristol Centaurus XII 18 radial piston engine. 615 were built to British contracts, including 31 and 35 aircraft for the Royal Australian and Royal Canadian Navies. Performance: maximum speed was 460 mph @ 18,000 ft with a ceiling of 35,800ft and had a range of 700 miles. Armament: four 20-mm cannons in wings and racks for 12×27kg rockets or 2×454kg bombs.
