Z-50LS RC AIRPLANE MAIDEN FLIGHT WITH EMERGENCY LANDING

Th was the maiden flight of my Zlin 50LS. Its powered by a 4 stroke 0.60ci ASP glow engine wearing a 12×6 prop. Controlled but Futaba 2.4Ghz radio, hitec servos. All weighing in at 2.6Kg after having to add 300gms to the nose to balance it out (using a couple of long wheelnuts off a EF Falcon).
In this flight, the throws on all the control surfaces were way too excessive and the plane was hell twitchy, as you'll see towards the end where the planes banking wildy left and right. This crash, luckily, only folded up the landing gear which was easily tweaked back along with aileron throw adjustment. The second flight in the other vid, the plane banked much more calmly but the elevator was too servere which lead to its death for this particular weekend.

No, the plane comes kinda assembled and covered. Just got to glue the wings, tailplane, hinges and control surfaces, mount the motor, landing gear, electronics, set it all up and go for it. Pretty cheap too. Got it off ebay of course.

Hey bummer bout the crash i have one of these too and ended up hitting a fence with it after a dead stick, lucky it did bugger all damage so its up again soon. I found you need alot of expo for this plane to make it flyable and i ran a 52asp 2 stroke which found had plenty of power bt needed alot of tuning to get right as everytime i flew it it stopped on me but the 3rd time was the one i hit the fence. Anyway all tuned up now so should be a breeze. If i hava spare moment i will video a flight :)

oh really? Well I haven't had any trouble with this puppy other than I think its too small for this plane. Mind you, I have only run about five tanks through it, but it tunes real easy and doesnt need much tweaking after that. Hope this helps.
