There are flying clubs here, but I never hear of anyone flying jets. I mostly fly alone because there is a park very close to my house.

Just louvres at the back of the fan will do it, you'll lose a little efficiency, but they will deflect the air just like a louisiana swamp boat.
I have an F22 from RCPowers that has that kind of thrust vectoring on it already. Two servos move the elevator with the motor mounted on a the elevator itself. Videos of it are up, my site and RCPowers

I know which one you mean Ronin, looks great indeed! But if you would want to have thrust vectoring, I'd recommend getting a pusher jet (like Stryker) - you can add thrust vectoring by adding one extra servo to push the prop up or down. For an EDF jet, thrust vectoring is a mystery to me…

I am leaning towards one of the Eurofighters or a Rafale, really the coolest would be the Su47 with the forward swept wings, canards at the front, and thrust vectoring. There is a foam edf one on ebay right now tempting me, just electric, no thrust vectoring or working canards, but looks great.
