How to make an RC plane in Mr. Herbert's Science class.
In just under 4 hours, leftover parts were used to make a neat RC airplane as demonstrated in Mr. Herbert's Science Class.
It's called "The Junkyard Dog".
Using mostly COX airplane parts from models gone by the wayside, I'll show you how I made mine with no plans or a kit.
Tired of the noise and mess of my full size airplanes, and since electrics have come a long way, I've become intrigued by them.
So needing a break from all the muss and fuss of the full size, gas RC planes, I decided to try to make my own electric plane, with what I learned the hard way over the years.
Let's see if I learned anything, and hopefully, if you decide to make one too, you will get some insight from this video.

Maybe, but there are so many different ways of doing it. I suggest you buy an inexpensive ARF (almost ready to fly)kit and build that. It shows in the instructions step by step, the exact things you need to know. It is hard to do by a set of instructions only.

I tried to build a hydro plane it looked just like th mini SL, but it broke. I was testing it out it was just fine unitl it started raing hard. The rain hit it so hard it snapped in half.

Well, I don't really have any vids. Sorry, all my radios are more than 2 channels. Just hook up the elevator and rudder conventionally and put a small single pole single throw (spst) switch on the red wire to the motor and that is it.

Thanks. If you put a mini toggle switch on the plane so the motor is turned on and off by it instead of the radio, you can use elevator and rudder to control it with the 2 Ch. Radio.
