How does airplane rides effect tattoo healing?
I got a tattoo last Thursday while in Ireland and the guy said that the airplane ride might cause it to rash over. He also said to wash twice a day and wrap in cling wrap. Well, it's been sore and all bumpy ever since like Friday night, after I flew 8 hours home. I have many tattoos but this one is on my wrist so I'm not use to this place for a tattoo. I think it's healing but it appears I have some color loss. Any advice?

I've never heard of that, but I imagine that the massive amounts of germs floating around planes as well as altitude could have an affect on a healing tattoo.

If there's color loss, then really the only thing you can do is wait until it heals and then get it touched up.

Well, your off the plane now, so… (I don't know about that) but,…
The problem is that the wrist is difficult to heal sometimes, because it is nearly impossible to not bend, twist, wrinkle, pull this way and that .. your tattoo. With even minimal normal hand movements, your tat is hardly holding still! The best thing to do is to pretend that your arm is broken and you cannot move your hand or wrist for a week or two. Then wash it with anti bacterial, pat with paper towel, a light coat of Lubriderm, no wrapping, no sun, no water soaking, don't do the dishes or clean the cat box, and high SPF when it heals.
I know, I have an elaborate wrist tattoo that took 4 sessions, and the 1st was a bear,.. swollen, …
anyway, take care of it, and you may need a touch up when it heals, but it will end up o.k.

Good luck
