I found at party …
I found at party city a clar plastic ball with 3 strobe leds, they are used on air valve on bicicle wheels. 2 balls with 3 leds on each one cost me 1.10 i mounted un my heli and are nice. I will dismount the x-port light and use the leds and x-port conector, on the CUB
LED "Party Lights" …
LED "Party Lights" at WalMart in party/craft section of store. Each are peanut-sized, w/their own small battery. Twist to light 'em up. Attach to various spots on plane using self-adhesive dime-sized velcro pads also at WalMart. Self-adhere one pad to plane, self-adhere other pad onto light, then velcro light pad onto plane pad. This way they are removable in the day. Use about a dozen lights, front, side, top, back to light up the plane best way you see fit. Let me know how it works for you!
nice i bought mine …
nice i bought mine for 170 with tax at the hobby store. happy flying

just like me. I love how looks and feels taking off and landing. full batty pack doing the same like you I loved that, what light set are you talking about. $? how you power them. will be coll i got the light module for x-port but that lights sucks!!
Lots of fun! I …
Two weeks ago I was "stunt" flying between two 12' tall school yard metal swing sets, misjudged the gap between the sets, and sheared off the left wing of the Cub! OOPS!
But with the help of a little clear packing tape I was back in the air in 10 minutes!!! Love take offs and landings too–ometimes I use my whole battery just doing that!
Lots of fun! I even bought the Party Lights at Walmart and I just velcro about a dozen of them on if I want to fly a night!
thnx

Brian, how's the …
Brian, how's the flying going these days? You've had 2 months of practice by now. Hope you're having a great time.
Don't fret. …
Don't fret. Repairs are easy and cheap. I've got three of these planes and have repaired them plenty of times (especially the motor and firewall)…it is quite easy…new firewall $8.00, new motor $10.00. You'll be up and flying again in no time.
my engine crumbled …
my engine crumbled when it once crashed because of a gust…HELP!!! i really liked ot before
Hi Steve. Sounds …
Hi Steve. Sounds like a great idea though I don't know enough about vacuum wrapping to really comment on whether it's applicable here. Let us know how it comes out. You will enjoy the Super Cub. I'm on my third.

has anyone ever …
has anyone ever thought of vaccuum wrapping the individual pieces of the plane? or, at least vaccuum wrapping the wings and fuselage. if packing tape does the job, vaccuum wrapping would have to as well (probably better) and would look a lot better than tape wrapped around and around the plane. i will be receiving my 1st super cub this friday and i want to protect it right away.
any thoughts or suggestions?

I just won an ebay …
I just won an ebay bid for a new Super Cub for $126. I think usual sale price is about $156. I wanted one so bad but was suprised to win the bid. I'm glad I did though, as I'm really looking forward to flying it!
GREAT video…nice …
GREAT video…nice quality too. I have had a Super Cub now for a bit, and I agree with you…they are an excellent starter plane. What mods have you done other than paint? Have you tried to change out the engine and major things like that? john=> Washington State
I used Krylon H2O …
I used Krylon H2O as I read online was best for styrofoam. I'm not sure I agree. On our red Super Cub, the paint after drying can actually be peeled off…not strong adhesion. However, afer wrapping the plane in pkg tape, it is not an issue. I'm right up the way in Greenville. Thanks for your comment.
I also have a Super …
I also have a Super Cub, and want to paint it. What kind of paint did you use?
by the way, I saw on the video that you are in SC, i'm in Columbia.
Thanks
Nice flying!
It …
Nice flying!
It flies much better than I would have imagined stock.
Remember to tell your cameraman to stay zoomed out, it's a lot easier to track moving targets that way.
I have cut the ACT …
I have cut the ACT sensors out of both of our planes. I found them to be just another challenge when trying to learn to fly and one doesn't need any more challenges. I think ACT is a great marketing tool, but in reality, I think it puts more uncertainty in the first-time flyers worried mind.
I like your …
I like your airplane colors.
I have a question. …
I have a question. Does the ACT really help? It doesn't let me turn sometimes so i turn it off.
Yes, everything's …
Yes, everything's stock with exception to the stripes, paint, and other small modifications. Guess a good tail wind helps! But we've learned that wind is not our friend. Thanks for the comment. Happy flying.
oh, thanks. I will …
oh, thanks. I will have to try that.
I've crashed many …
I've crashed many times without the help of ACT! The trick is to wrap clear packaging tape completely around the wings & the fuse. It turns soft particulate styrofoam into shock-absorbing armor. I clipped a small tree trunk at a full speed descent. It was ugly. I walked over to the pieces fearing the worst. There was nothing wrong with the plane…not even a dent. Without the full wrap, I would have needed a broom and a dustpan to pick up the pieces from that deciduous encounter.
Mine crashed. I …
Mine crashed. I left ACT on. oops!
One more thing. Do …
One more thing. Do you have the stock electronics and motors on these because there going pretty fast! Last time I flew that fast was in a steep dive. I never fly in the wind though…. That might be it.
I have a Firebird …
I have a Firebird Freedom and my dad has a Super Cub. We have so much fun together. We recently bought 2 sonic combat modules and are having even more fun! It's great that you bought two. Great video!
