Need to know what the best RC airplane is without the highest cost?
My boyfriend has an RC Car that he loves, so I thought for our anniversary in July I would buy him an RC plane. From the little bit of research I've done it looks like a trainer plane would be the best for him. Does anyone know of a place online I could find one where the price isn't astronomical and the plane is a good one for beginners? On the websites they all say they're great!
i've been looking around myself for a good trainer plane, and i think i found one that's easy to fly AND very affordable:

look on the left side of the webpage for the links to 'beginner planes' and shop around. the plane i linked to is very durable, can crash and still fly… made out of molded foam. there are more models than the one i linked to, but the same company makes other models. good luck!
p.s. if i had a girlfriend who bought me an RC plane i wouldn't let her go! ;o)

Have you hinted to him about planes? or asked if he would ever fly? Alot of people at our local track and in general, if they drive trucks and love to bash then most times they dont like getting into air vehicles. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
As for whats the best trainer plane for less cost the Hobby Zone planes are always a great way to go as they have tons of replacement parts availible and only plane with anti-crash built it, preventing any mishaps by the person flying.

If you think that design of trainer wouldn't be his style as I know most guys are picky about how cool or good it looks, consider a parkzone j-3 cub or p51 mustang. These planes are fantastic quality for the money.

Technically all the sites are right, they are great, it depends more on what type of flying he would want to do, and what style of planes he likes the most. majority on the market are great it's all a matter of preference.
